Koigu Hack: How to Fold Triangle Scarves
It may seem simple, but everyone is familiar with those pesky garments that are an awkward shape and you just can't seem to figure out how to fold nicely. Triangle scarves and shawl are one of those things! Taiu Landra, owner of Koigu, herself admits to not knowing how to nicely fold them until a few years ago, despite knitting countless triangle scarves over the years.

Knit Process: Swatching
As discussed in our previous post, its not always easy imagining colours together especially knit up in a pattern or stitch that you haven't tried before. Starting a big project right off the bat can be nerve wracking because of this, not wanting to spend countless hours and skeins on a colourscape and pattern you're not thrilled about. So, naturally, making a little tester (a swatch) helps!

Canada Day 150 at Koigu
The big day is almost here! 150 years of our beautiful home, Canada, is only a few days away.
Koigu is based in Grey County, a stunning area filled with green farms, fresh lakes and rock formations. Strawberry season is here and we have been surrounded by beautiful reds. We love that we have been proudly Canadian for 25 years so to mark the special occasion we hand-dyed two limited edition KPPPM yarns!
Both were created with a medley of reds featuring Canada's official Flag Red, the exact same dye used to make our national flag. One is speckled and the other is tie dyed, cheekily and patriotically named "Canada Eh" and "Oh Canada".
Left: Canada Eh. Right: Oh Canada.
You can buy these two vivid colours in our new online store that features unique, not-available-in-stores Koigu yarns and products. Pudding Yarn also is now proudly also carrying them. Act fast because skeins are limited!
HAPPY CANADA DAY!
Love,
Koigu.
The Estonian song & dance festivals are happening this upcoming summer and Kersti and Merike will be attending! Koigu's history is deeply rooted in Estonian handicrafts & traditions. Our family originated from Estonia and continues to celebrate our culture. Estonian folk festivals are filled with colourful embroidered and woven traditional folk costumes and fresh flower crowns. This month’s Koigu Collector Colour is inspired by the FOLK FESTIVAL.
