Travel with Koigu: Part 2

Farm Update:

Luckily the weather seems to be getting a bit nicer here, so we’ve started spring cleaning around the house and farm, eagerly anticipating starting the garden. As well Kersti now home from school is undertaking a major basement renovation, along with baking everything and anything. This past week we’ve done bread, bagels, cinnamon rolls. On the business front, we’ve continued to ship out orders this week, but also have a little bit more time to start some new projects, and work on finishing some knitting so look forward to that! Kersti also took a tour through the woolshed, which can be found in our Instagram highlights and on Facebook. Will continue to post about

In todays travelling with Koigu we’re finishing off the Koigu Paint Cans.

Arctic Moss:

Arctic Moss has a perseverance that most other plants in the arctic just don’t have. They grow slowly due to the cold temperatures during most of the year. Much of Canada’s North is covered in an Arctic Permafrost, which most people don’t have the opportunity to visit. A Koigu Team member in his other field has been to all three territories, an supplied us with stunning shots of the Arctic Moss.

Or for crocheters try the Ice Cube Scarf/Cowl designed by Joanna Clayson, which was designed specifically for the Koigu Paint Can. Find the pattern on the Koigu Studio.

Mountain Sunset:

Whether you are in the Rocky Mountains, the center of the Himalayas or the Andes, a beautiful sunset is a warm kiss good night. The richness of the warm reds, oranges and pinks seem to soften the strong peaks of the mountains. This paint can would be great for a nice pair of mittens.

There is something magical about the sound of crashing waves on the shore. They can stimulate adventure like surfing the big one in Hawaii or relaxing on the beach in the Caribbean. Perhaps for some it’s what lies deep in the ocean that they seek, such as the Great Barrier Reef. We each here at KOIGU all have a different desire when it comes to ocean. Let these few videos inspire you to create. Pair this paint can with Tulip Festival to recreate a corral reef.
