Knit Process: Colour Mixing

Even though here at Koigu, colour is our specialty, we know how hard it can be to choose colours and even harder to imagine those colours put together before starting a project.

We want to share with you one of our favourite little tricks to test out colours for a garment or project.

Follow these easy steps:

1. Choose 4 to 6 colours that you're a fan of and think might go together in the way you would like for your project.

2. Untwist the skeins of your choice into loose hanks.

3. Hold the ends of all of your skeins in your hands and stretch your arms apart.

4. Twist your hands so that the colours twist and blend together.

Yay! Now you can see how well the colours will fade into each other in your project. Repeat these steps until you're satisfied with your colour palette!

Koigu
